A UK-WIDE home care service is moving into Southampton, creating 50 new jobs.
Helping Hands, will open a new office in Southampton and will offer home care services to residents in Southampton, Hythe, Romsey, Eastleigh and Hedge End.
The new branch, the company’s 56th is part of a UK wide expansion, will provide care specialists who will provide care support to adults of all ages through visits or live-in care.
Companionship, cooking, cleaning, and personal care, as well as condition-led care support, clinical, palliative, and respite and emergency care are among the services offered.
Neil Johnson, thr Southampton branch manager, said: “Over the coming weeks, we will be speaking with relevant organisations including hospitals, GPs, Age UK and other local businesses to establish relationships and see how we can work together to support the local community.
“We’ll also be holding and taking part in recruitment events for those looking for a career in care.
“Being a family owned and run business we understand the importance of providing quality care to loved ones and it is my responsibility to ensure this is delivered.”
New staff will be given three days of intensive training, say the company.
