Oscar Isaac has revealed that he loved being on the Star Wars set.
The Inside Llewyn Davis star is one of the newcomers to the next Star Wars film, The Force Awakens, which is being directed by JJ Abrams.
While he remains tight-lipped about his character and the plot, he told E! News about the shoot, saying: “It was amazing. It’s an incredible set. JJ is such a fun, positive guy.”
Oscar confirmed that the film will feature real sets rather than computer generated effects.
“It was really amazing to actually see all the stuff he created,” he continued. “It was actually real and tactile. He’s not just depending on CG. As an actor it was really fun to interact with that world.”
Domhnall Gleeson, who stars alongside Oscar in Alex Garland’s sci-fi thriller Ex-Machina as well as the new Star Wars film, added: “It was great, man. They built the sets with a lot of care and love. I loved it, man. It was fantastic.”
The pair are amongst the new cast members of Star Wars: The Force Awakens. They join John Boyega, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley and Andy Serkis, alongside returning stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released in UK cinemas in December.
