A VAN has gone into the front of a Hampshire home.
Emergency services were called to the scene in Fareham where the Ford Transit van had left Kiln Road hit a lamppost and ended up in the front of the house, causing extensive damage.
The structure was subsequently made safe and the lamppost was removed.
Firefighters from Fareham were called out at 5.20pm yesterday and were on scene for more than two hours but did not need to take any action and handed the scene over to the council.
No-one was injured.
Hampshire County Council's highways team attended to clear any debris from the road.
A 30 year-old man from Fareham was arrested on suspicion of a drink driving offence and has been bailed until February 12 pending further enquires.
