IT was a fitting tribute to man who loved motorcycling.
Mark Nuttall’s final journey was made on a 24-foot boom trike hearse, thought to be the only one of its type in the UK.
The popular biker’s wife Sharon rode his Harley-Davidson in a procession of around 50 motorbikes to the service at Romsey Abbey, which was followed by a committal at Southampton Crematorium.
His biker friends carried Mark’s coffin, which bore his helmet and gloves on top along with floral tributes, into the Abbey for the celebration of his life which included AC/DC’s Thunderstruck and Bon Jovi’s Thank You For Loving Me Mark, who died on December 1 after a three-year battle with cancer, was a caretaker at Romsey Primary School for seven years.
The 58-year-old was passionate about motorcycling and besides being a member of various biker groups, rode his bike to raise cash for children’s charities around the area and also disabled biker groups.
Donations made in Mark’s memory will go to Macmillan Cancer Support or the National Association for Bikers with a Disability.
