According to figures from the Institute of Advanced Motorists released today Hampshire councils made a £10m profit from parking last year.
Here is the list of lcoal councils and how much profit they made in 2010/11 and 2011/12.
- Eastleigh – 2010/11: £984,000
2011/12: £1,257,000
- Winchester – 2010/11: £1,207,000
2011/12: £2,798,000
- Southampton – 2010/11: - £2,529,000 (loss)
2011/12: £1,360,000
- Isle of Wight – 2010/11: £1,684,000
2011/12: £2,215,000
- Gosport – 2010/11: £61,000
2011/12: £610,000
- Fareham – 2010/11: £1,078,000
2011/12: £1,456,000
- New Forest – 2010/11: £711,000
2011/12: £330,000
- Test Valley – 2010/11: £1,058,000
2011/12: £395,000
