Celtic midfielder Victor Wanyama has revealed Saints have agreed a fee for his services with the Scottish giants.
But the 21-year-old, who is also being chased by Premier League newcomers Cardiff, admits the deal is by no means finalised yet.
"Yes, my club have agreed terms with Southampton but I will also have to agree terms too," the Kenyan is reported as saying today.
"I am only hearing this from the media, but I can say the deal is far from being complete."
Should Waynama sign, he will be competing with player of the year Morgan Schneiderlin and Jack Cork for one of two central defensive roles.
