THE MAN who went missing after a rooftop sit-in in Southampton has been found.

Police arrested the man this afternoon, although they have not disclosed where.

As previously reported by the Daily Echo, he spent over 14 hours on the roof of a house in Gainsford Road, Southampton, on Tuesday, refusing to come down.

He sat there in temperatures of 27°C without food or water. Police closed the road as they tried unsuccessfully to coax him down.

However, sometime after they left the scene the man climbed down and was nowhere to been seen.

Officers have now managed to track the man down and have remanded him in custody.
