THEY have wowed us throughout the summer, but now the rhinos have trotted off.

But we won’t forget the year of the Rhino Trail, when the Southampton region discovered some very colourful creatures had set up temporary residence.

The scheme created to help raise funds for Marwell Zoo and protect rare species including the rhinos in real life, has been a spectacular sucess, with thousands taking to the streets to follow the Rhino Trail.

Many companies and schools took part in creating and sponsoring the rhinos which are now to be auctioned off to raise even more money for charity.

Thousands took to the streets to follow the Rhino Trail throughout the summer months and we asked you to send us your photos of your encounters with the Rhinos.

We are featuring the best of those snaps here in this colourful keepsake supplement – and they are also the finalists in our Go! Rhinos Photographic Competition.

Now it is up to you to choose the winner.

Simply follow the instructions detailed on this page to vote for your favourite photo.

The winning photo will win a Junior Experience worth £150, which gives one lucky youngster an unforgettable opportunity to be a zookeeper at Marwell for the day.

Closing date for entries is Tuesday, October 2 at midnight. The winners will be announced in the Daily Echo.
