Motorists using one of the south’s busiest commuter routes are facing rush hour chaos this morning.
The main A34 route from Hampshrie to the Midlands has been shut in both directions.
An accident near Toothill services caused two lorries to catch fire.
As a result emergency services closed the road, which runs from the M3, near Newbury.
Two lanes southbound have now re-opened along with one northbound, but motorists are still warned to expect major delays.
