A MOTORWAY sliproad was closed this afternoon after a lorry caught fire.
One lane of the northbound M3 at junction 12 for Eastleigh was also shut while fire crews worked at the scene.
Queues of traffic were reported as far back as junction 14 of the M27 with cars trying to reach the A335 forced to divert.
Fire crews from Eastleigh and Fareham were called to the scene at 12.30pm amid reports a fire had broken in the lorry's engine.
They stayed there until highways workers arrived shortly afterwards.
