BIN men needed help from firefighters when rubbish caught alight in their rubbish truck this morning.
The workers were making collections in Stubbington, Hampshire shortly before 7.30am when smoke began billowing from the back of the vehicle.
They pulled over in May's Lane before calling 999.
Crews from Fareham fire station used a hose reel to put out the smouldering load before the workers drove to the incinerator to off-load it.
