A vehicle fire on the M27 near Southampton caused huge tailbacks this morning.
A Land Rover was travelling east along the motorway when the blaze broke out just after 10.45am.
Two crews from Redbridge and Romsey fire stations were sent to the scene, between Junctions 2 and 3.
The blaze was extinguished shortly after 11am but witnesses said the incident had resulted in long tailbacks on the eastbound carriageway.
No-one is thought to have been injured and the road was cleared by lunchtime.
