A NAKED man has been rescued from the Hampshire coast after becoming confused this morning.
The Gosport and Fareham Inshore Rescue (GAFIRS) team were called into action just before 10am to save the confused swimmer at Stokes Bay, in Gosport.
The team also had help from Hampshire Police's marine unit.
Mike Allen, vice chair operations, told the Daily Echo that they got the call at 9.45am and their team was on the water within 15 minutes.
By the time they had got there, the man had already been recovered by a RIB from the Stokes Bat Sailing Club.
However, shortly afterwards he managed to reenter the water and the GAFIRS life boat pulled him from the water and took him back to the shore where paramedics from South Central Ambulance Service were waiting.
He was conscious and did not appear to be suffering from any injuries.
