A BODY has been found in the garden of a Hampshire home this morning.

Emergency services were called to a house in Jessamine Road, Southampton, after the body of a 62-year-old man was discovered in the garden of the property just after 8am.

Sadly, nothing could be done to save him and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers launched an investigation into the discovery and spent several hours at the scene but have this afternoon confirmed that they are treating the death as non-suspicious.

A file is now being prepared to be passed onto the coroner.
