FIREFIGHTERS in Southampton tackled a motorbike blaze this morning.
A crew from Redbridge Fire Station were called to Green Park Road in Millbrook after a Southampton City Council worker alerted them to the fire.
The council worker warned residents and dog walkers about the fire before a fire engine arrived.
The crew quickly arrived at the scene to find that the bike had suffered 100 per cent damage from the fire.
A spokesperson for Redbridge Fire station praised the council worker, he said: βHe did a fantastic job. It is nice that members of the public do take their civic duty seriously.β
Firefighters say the cause of fire which happened at 6am this morning is unknown and are not treating it as suspicious as they say there were other motorbikes in the vicinity that were not damaged by the fire.
