A SCHEME to build 35 much-needed homes in a Test Valley village has been given the go ahead.
Test Valley's planning control committee overwhelmingly approved the project which includes a mix of affordable and market value homes on land next to Evans Close at Over Wallop near Stockbridge.
The approved proposals include 14 affordable homes and 21 in the open market sector.
A housing needs survey of the parish carried out by Action Hampshire revealed that there are currently 20 people on the waiting list for rented accommodation in Over Wallop and 16 of them are seeking a one bedroom home.
