AN INVESTIGATION is underway tonight after firefighters rushed to put out a fire on a Hampshire road which had spread to the edge of a nearby farm.
Eight firefighters from Romsey Station were sent to Woodington Road, West Wellow at about 7.20pm where a light goods van fire which spread to adjacent hedgerows.
They used two hose reels, two breathing apparatus and an environmental agency grab bag to prevent oil from entering any farm land.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
