A HAMPSHIRE road was closed in both directions after a dramatic early-morning lorry fire.
Pictures show a number of firefighters trying to cool down the vehicle as smoke and steam rise into the air.
A crew from Kingsclere Fire Station rushed to tackle the blaze and the road was closed for more than three hours after the fire.
The vehicle burst into flame at about 6.30am this morning and police in the area advised motorists to use different routes until the road is cleared.
Traffic built up on the A339 between Basingstoke and Newbury after the road was blocked about two miles south of Kingsclere.
The road has since been reopened and it was confirmed the driver was not injured.
