A WOMAN has died following a collision on a main road in Hampshire.
The 39-year-old was in one of two cars involved in the collision on the A31 on Friday.
She was rushed to Southampton General Hospital but she died from her injuries yesterday.
The collision took place on the westbound carriageway at Bratley Arch, near Stoney Cross, at 3.25pm.
A black Mitsubishi Mirage was travelling westbound when it collided with a silver Toyota MR2 that was stationary in the nearside lane of the road.
The driver of the Mirage, a 62-year-old woman from Ringwood, was taken to Southampton General Hospital but was later discharged.
However police have now revealed that the 39-year-old driver of the Toyota died yesterday.
Her next of kin are being informed and the coroner has been informed.
An investigation into the crash is continuing and police are urging anyone who witnessed it to contact Totton Roads Policing Unit on 101, quoting Operation Guard.
