FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a car that caught alight on a road.
A crew from Fareham was called by the owner of the Range Rover after he pulled over to the side of Titchfield Road, between Titchfield and Stubbington at around 1am this morning.
They put out the flames using two breathing apparatus and a hose in an around half an hour.
The car was left with a severely damaged engine and a firefighter said he believed the car was a write-off.
It is thought that the fire was caused by an electrical or fuel fault.
No-one was hurt.
