A BURNING lorry was discovered just yards from a Hampshire fire station.
Crews from Eastleigh fire station found the DAF goods vehicle in Steele Close at 9pm last night – close to their base in Leigh Road.
The smouldering fire broke out when a large amount of shredded paper stored in the back of the vehicle caught alight.
Teams used a hose reel to dampen down the load.
The heat and smoke caused minor damage to the inside of the lorry.
