A TRIO of new tenants have been announced for a new £85million leisure centre in Southampton.
Hollywood Bowl is set to build its first city outlet with a 1,545 square metre unit at the Southampton WestQuay Watermark centre, while All Bar One will make its debut with a 422 square metre premises.
Meanwhile American restaurant chain TGI Fridays will build a 738 square metre development at the centre.
Sarah Fox, Head of Restaurants and Leisure at Hammerson, which is creating the centre, commented: “Hollywood Bowl, All Bar One and TGI Friday are all fantastic brands to welcome to the scheme.
“Along with a number of operators already secured, I am particularly pleased that the scheme will be debuting Hollywood Bowl and All Bar One.
“This is testament to the development as well as to the city as a vibrant leisure, dining and retail hub.
“As we count down to the launch we are looking forward to welcoming more brands to the city and continuing to strengthen its appeal to customers from across the South Coast.”
The Hollywood Bowl will have 16 fully computerised ten-pin bowling lanes, including four exclusive VIP lanes.
It will also feature an American diner, a bar and an amusement and pool area and its décor will include a full-size vintage Ford Mustang.
Steve Burns, CEO of The Original Bowling Company, said “We are very excited to be opening our first centre in Southampton with a new, state of the art entertainment venue in WestQuay Watermark. The new Hollywood Bowl will provide high quality, fun-filled leisure experiences to customers of all ages in our bowling, diner, bar and amusement areas.”
All Bar One will have its first Southampton outlet overlooking the Watermark plaza between Jamie’s Italian restaurant and Cau.
A spokesperson from All Bar One, added: ‘All Bar One is the perfect place to catch up with friends and share a cocktail or two, so we’re very excited to be part of the new development, and opening our first bar in Southampton.”
