A PETROL station was seen smoking in the early hours of the morning causing firefighters to rush to the scene.
Believing it could potentially be a fire at the petrol station in Lee on Solent, fire crews raced to the incident at 4.49am this morning.
On arriving they discovered that the smoke was from an anti-theft alarm called a SmokeCloak.
These alarms work by filling an area with smoke once they are triggered, which marks intruders so they can be identified later.
It is not yet clear why the alarm had been set off at the petrol station in Manor Way.
