A BODY has been found in the search for a Southamptom climber who went missing.
Police were called after Liam Day, 26, failed to return home following a day in Dorset on Wednesday, June 15.
Liam's distraught girlfriend Emily Brown appealed for friends and family to help, and fellow Southampton climbers joined the search.
Climbing gear and his car were discovered although no trace of Liam was found.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "At 12.27pm Dorset Police was informed by HM Coastguard of a person in the water off St Alban’s Head near Swanage. The body of a man was recovered.
"Identification has not yet taken place but the family of a 26-year-old man from Southampton, who had failed to return home as expected following a climbing trip to the Swanage area and was reported missing on Wednesday 15 June 2016, has been informed of the incident."
