NOT even rain could dampen the spirits of those attending the Hedge End Carnival.
Hundreds of people braved the elements to see the procession of floats drive through the town.
There were people dressed as penguins, steam powered motor cars and cheerleaders to wow the crowds.
The procession went down St John's Road, through Freegrounds Avenue, Sherbourne Way, Hobb Lane, Lower Northam Road and finish at Greta Park in Upper Northam Road where there was a fairground where there were rides and amusements for all the enjoy.
Kim Paglia, 48, was there with her family and said: "The carnival is really good, it is a shame about the weather but the kids have been good sports about it."
