HAMPSHIRE was invaded by the Daleks at the weekend for a special event.
Thousands of people travelled through time and space to visit a two-day event held at the Winchester Science Centre, at Morn Hill, which paid homage to the celebrated television Time Lord.
There were a whole host of characters at the Science Centre alongside the Daleks, including Missy, Strax Sontaran, the War Doctor, Captain Jack Harkness, UNIT soldiers were on show and, of course, Dr Who himself was there.
Lookalike characters portrayed several of the doctors while others dressed up as some of the show’s less attractive villains including the infamous Daleks.
Fans also got to experience Dr Who themed shows, displays and hands-on science.
The event was organised by charity Dalek Squad, a group of enthusiasts who build and operate life-sized Daleks.
They tour the country, entertaining huge crowds and raising money for good causes at the same time.
Doctor Who is the longest-running science fiction TV series in the world, dating back to 1963.
The current doctor is Peter Capaldi, and others who have played the role in recent times have included Matt Smith, Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant.
