HUNDREDS of revellers descended on Romsey for the market town’s first ever Prosecco Festival.
Crosfield Hall was packed with drinkers grabbing a taste of a variety of gin and Prosecco on Saturday night.
Live music accompanied a bar full of the drinks as well as an alcoholic-cake stall.
It was the first event of its kind to hit the market town.
It attracted hundreds of people to the event, with organiser The Concept Factory now planning on whether to return next year.
The announcement of the festival had attracted praise from Romsey’s Town Centre Manager, Mark Edgerley, who highlighted the appeal of the Test Valley destination.
Mark said: “Romsey is attracting interested from organisations that believe what we have known for a long time; Romsey residents enjoy a good event.
“Events like this draw in visitors to the town, giving welcomed footfall on the day, but also having showcased Romsey, many then return later to enjoy the many features.”
