EASTLEIGH Borough Council leader Keith House proclaimed last night's election result as a "fantastic record" for the Liberal Democrats.
The party won 32 of the 39 seats up for grabs last night to retain control of the council - which they've held for more than two and half decades.

But it wasn’t all plain sailing, as they lost all three seats in Bishopstoke to independent candidates with deputy leader Anne Winstanley being one of the Lib Dems to lose out.
Meanwhile, Conservatives, won four seats.
Speaking at the count, Lib Dem leader Keith House said: "It is a fantastic record for the Liberal Democrats winning 32 out of 39 seats, something you don't see in many parts of the country.
"We've done it here for the last 25 years now.
"The electorate have placed their trust in the Liberal Democrats again and we will live up to that trust."
