A TEENAGER was rushed to hospital after he was stabbed in the face and neck.
Police are investigating the incident, which took place at Locks Heath Centre last night.
Officers say a 17-year-old boy from Sarisbury Green suffered 'puncture wounds' to his face and neck during the incident, which took place shortly before 10.10pm on yesterday (July 22).
He was taken to Queen Alexandra Hospital in Cosham for treatment.
The teenager has since been discharged.
An 18 year-old man from Fareham was subsequently arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
He remains in custody at this time.
Enquiries are ongoing and police say they are carrying out regular patrols in the area.
Officers do not believe that this incident is linked to any other reports or assaults currently under investigation.
