ON FRIDAY I returned home from shopping at M & S local Food Store Eastleigh found an item costing £15 added to my bill.
Knowing I had not purchased any item of this price I returned the next day.
After checking my bill the young assistant told me sorry but there must have been a glitch in the till, this happens sometimes! Apparently the item was for a hamper, not even stocked in the shop.
I am wondering how many other customers have failed to check their receipts at this busy time of year. I am a 78 year old lady, almost 79 but am not stupid and appalled at the way my complaint was dealt with.
I hope your readers will all carefully check their till receipts in future. Another thing that annoys me is the buy 3 for £10 offers or buy 2 and get 1 free, these are not always entered onto the computer so we do not get them.
