TWO people have been arrested by police after a man died in a hit-and-run involving a Jaguar car.
The victim, aged 38, was struck by a Jaguar XJ car in Charlton Road, Andover, Hampshire, at about 6.40pm on December 23.
A 59-year-old man and a 58-year-old woman, both from Andover, have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving, failing to stop after an accident and failing to report an accident.
A Hampshire police spokesman said: "Despite best efforts, the man, from Andover, was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
"His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers."
The force spokesman added: "They have both been released under investigation.
"We are still keen to speak with anyone who witnessed a zircon blue Jaguar in the Charlton Road area around 6.40pm on Monday December 23."
