THEY'RE the traditional ice cream bikes bringing tasty treats to happy couples at dozens of Hampshire weddings each year.
Brock Ice Traditional Ice Cream Bikes was launched by Abbie Marsh in 2008 when she started pedalling around Brockenhurst on her ice cream bike selling delicious New Forest Ice Cream to locals and tourists who absolutely loved the concept.
Fast forward 12 years and she and her small team are now on hand to serve sweet-toothed delights to customers at around 100 events annually.
But with each and every event they were due to attend this summer cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, they launched an ice cream treat box home delivery service in a bid to recoup some of the lost income and give those with birthdays or special events taking place during lockdown a frozen treat.
Abbie told the Daily Echo: "Unfortunately pretty much all the weddings we had booked in for this year have been postponed or cancelled, which was very worrying for me as the business owner, but also sad for the couples involved. All the public events we were attending were also cancelled.
"Due to not having this work we decided to offer to deliver ice cream treat boxes around Brockenhurst and the surrounding areas. These include cones, tubs, different sprinkles, lots of sauces, sweets, napkins and your choice of New Forest Ice Creams. We are really happy with how well received they have been and each week are delivering more and more. People are ordering them for garden parties, movie nights, an end of term treat or just because they fancy a delicious ice cream treat. If people live further afield we are happy for them to come and collect the boxes from us too."
Following the launch of Brock Ice back in 2008, Abbie soon thought the ice cream bike concept would work well at weddings and sent out a letter to every local venue for their support, which came in spades.
She added: "I like to think we provide a very personal yet professional service. We know that a wedding day is the most important and special day for a couple so we put 100 per cent into each and every one. Being part of such an important day is such a privilege so we always try to be friendly, smiley, chat to guests and just try to fit in with their day.
"I like to think customers keep coming back because we offer a smiley friendly professional service, but I expect it has a lot to do with our delicious New Forest Ice Creams!"
