FIRE CREWS raced to the scene of a vehicle fire in the heart of Southampton yesterday.
Fire engines from St Mary’s and Redbridge were called to Briton Street just before 3pm on Wednesday, February 16.
Onlookers captured the vehicle, believed to be a taxi, being engulfed in flames.
The fire was extinguished by fire crews who discovered a quantity of diesel on the road.
Southampton City Council’s highways team was informed about this.
No one is believed to have been injured.
