A six-figure refurbishment has given a Southampton pub the wow factor.
The Two Brothers in West End reopened last weekend following a £200,000 remodel, which included an update for the restaurant, new decor, an updated menu, fancy new glassware and outside lighting.
General manager of four years Kelly Rice told the Daily Echo: “We’re all so excited. It looks absolutely phenomenal.

“Our locals have been coming in and saying gosh it’s so posh, we’ll have to behave ourselves now!
“When the team walked in and saw it, they were just blown away. It's really got the wow factor now.
“I know it looked a little bit tired before and maybe that put people off coming in, but it’s really impressive now and we’ve already enjoyed meeting some lovely new families.
“We’re so pleased to welcome guests old and new to the new-look pub!
The pub reopened on Saturday following the two-week refurbishment.
Thought to have opened in 1983 in Townhill Way, Chartwell Green, The Two Brothers is a Sizzling Pub & Grill and offers sizzling meat and fish platters brought to your table. The new menu includes everything from Caribbean-style Jerk Skewers to the juicy Beyond Meat Burger.
On the drinks menu, there's something for everyone, including favourite beers, ciders, and wines. Try Gordon's Sicilian Lemon Gin and J.J. Whitley Mango & Papaya Gin, or celebrate with a cocktail from the new cocktail menu, like a pitcher of Venom Sharer, mixing WKD Blue, Southern Comfort and Smirnoff Vodka, topped up with orange juice.
The pub shows the best of live sport and is proud to be family friendly, the bar area also being popular with pooches enjoying walkies nearby.
It hosts a popular quiz every Tuesday and live entertainment, including bands, singers and karaoke, on weekends.
Plans are also in place for Summer Sundays with chilled out music outside.
“We’re all about community here - getting new people in, supporting regulars and having fun doing it," added Kelly.
“The locals are brilliant. I usually move on after a couple of years at a pub, but it’s the people who have kept me here. The remodel is already bringing in new guests and we look forward to meeting them."
Kelly is also recruiting and would love to hear from anyone interested in working at The Two Brothers.
