A POPULAR bar in the heart of Southampton will reopen after an impressive £80,000 revamp.

Revolucion de Cuba in Above Bar Street underwent its “biggest update since opening” this year with improvements made across its three floors.

And revellers can enjoy ultimate party this weekend with the Cuban bar’s long-awaited reopening on Friday.

General manager Rob Sloman said: “We are extremely excited to see the transformation of our beautiful venue.

“We are set for a fantastic launch evening full of Cuban surprises.”

Renovations to the popular venue include a brand new bar, built-in booth seating areas, a stage and VIP areas.

A rooftop terrace is another new addition along with new entertainment features.

Guests can soak up the party atmosphere on Friday thanks to vibrant entertainment from steel drummers, saxophonist, samba dancers and live bands.
