POLICE have issued an update after a body was discovered in Southampton yesterday.
On Monday morning, emergency services cordoned off Mayflower Park after a woman was found dead.
Work to identify her and her family is underway and the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Firefighters were seen working close to the water's edge on Monday but it has now been confirmed the woman's body was discovered on the shoreline.
The discovery comes just one week after emergency services rushed to the same park after another woman was found dead.
But Hampshire police has today confirmed the two deaths are not thought to be linked.

A police spokesperson said there is "nothing" to suggest the incidents are connected and reiterated that neither of them are being treated as suspicious.
The woman's body found last Tuesday was pulled from the water.
