VIDEO footage shows flames rip through a van parked on a residential street.
The white Ford Transit on Padwell Road, Southampton was destroyed by the blaze.
Footage captured by a witness shows thick smoke billow from the van, parked just outside a row of houses.
Hampshire's fire service says it received "numerous calls" alerting them to the fire shortly after midday.
One casualty was treated at the scene.
Firefighters from St Mary’s and Redbridge wore breathing apparatus and used a hose reel jet to put out the flames.
Crews made the scene safe before the returning to station shortly before 1.30pm.
The cause of the blaze has not been confirmed.
