A fifth man has been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a Thornhill resident.
The 21-year-old from Southampton attended Southampton Central Police Station at around 2.15pm today. He remains in custody.
Only yesterday, a 20-year-old became the fourth man arrested on suspicion of murder.
He has since been bailed with conditions.
Three other men, aged 20, 23 and 31, from Southampton, were bailed on Friday having also been arrested on suspicion of murder.
Mark Noke, 64, was stabbed in the chest at his home in Warburton Road in the early hours of Saturday, February 25.
Acting Detective Chief Inspector Howard Broadribb, who is leading the investigation, said: “We will continue to carry out disruptive and proactive activity to progress this investigation and deliver justice for Mark and his family.”
Today, forensics officers were seen carrying out investigations in Harefield.
Police raided a home in Steep Close yesterday but no-one was found inside.
They remain at the scene.
