A STALKER sent his victim threatening messages, turned up at her home, and even messaged her daughter.
Paul New was hauled before court after he stalked a woman for more than a month.
The 47-year-old sent numerous abusive messages, causing the woman to block him to stop receiving the messages.
New also visited the victim's address on several occasions and would often knock on her door.
He also sent a number of messages to the victim's daughter.
The stalking happened between October 1 and November 22 last year.

On November 21, he attacked a different woman on St James Street.
Appearing at Southampton Magistrates' Court, he admitted one charge of stalking and one charge of assault by beating.
New, of Wimpson Lane, Southampton, was handed a restraining order banning him from contacting his victim or visiting her address until October 2024.
He was also fined £40 and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £114 and court costs of £85.
