Tributes have poured in for a man found dead in a Southampton park.
The body of a 37-year-old man was discovered in Mansel Park on Sunday morning.
People have since paid tribute to the man and shared their condolences.
Leading the tributes is city councillor for Redbridge, Lee Whitbread.
He said: “It’s obviously a very tragic incident and my thoughts go out to the family of the deceased.
“It's too early to say what the cause is, and the police need to carry out a thorough investigation to establish the circumstances behind the discovery of the body.”
Residents have described the news as ‘so sad’ and ‘heartbreaking.’
Commenting on the Daily Echo, Victor Ohaka said: “My heartfelt condolences to the family.
“May his gentle soul rest in peace with God the creator of heaven and earth.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the family.”

Kathi Iason said: “So very sad. Thoughts are with the family and friends at this heartbreaking time.”
Jackie Parker also described the news as ‘so very sad.’ She said: “My thoughts and condolences are to his family and friends. RIP.”
Carole Dobson said: “So sorry to hear this sad news. Thoughts are with all his family.”
This thought was echoed by Vicx Douglas, who said: “Thoughts are with the man’s family. RIP.”
Officers were called to the scene just before 5.30am on Sunday morning.
The man’s death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.
His next of kin have been informed.
