It may have been one of the hottest June days on record so far, but whilst the animals were basking in glorious sunshine, Marwell Zoo experienced its first flurry of snow!
Gently fluttering specks of snow made for pretty scenes as staff tested the snow machines for this year’s Glow Marwell event last week.
Tickets are now on general sale and Father Christmas has confirmed he’ll be in attendance!

Following the success of last year's inaugural event, the 2023 trail will include half a million twinkling lights, illuminations, photo opportunities and interactive elements.
Visitors can enjoy the LED playground, walk across light-up stepping stones, and strike a pose on Rainbow Road, as well as a 36 metre, multi-coloured tunnel.
Making his Glow Marwell debut, Father Christmas will be spreading festive cheer in his grotto and there will be a host of festive food cabins.
The whimsical Wishing Tree will return, along with snow machines, Christmas trees and fire pits for marshmallow toasting.
