SCHOOL'S out for summer on Friday - and parents will have hungry little mouths to feed for the next six weeks.

With families struggling more than ever with the increased cost of living, people are looking to make savings wherever they can.

So, here's our round up of some of the best places for cheap eats this summer so the kids don't eat you out of house and home!

We'd love to hear from any independents - or other chains - also helping to keep the cost of eating out as a family down.

Hungry Horse pubs

Hungry Horse pubs, including six in the Daily Echo region, have launched an incredible deal that enables a family of four to eat out for just £15.

Two adult mains and two kids meals are available all day every day until September.

For those who are not a family of four, there is also the option of the two for £10 offers which includes an adult's pub classic meal and a kid's meal. There is also an optional upgrade to a large kids main for an extra 50p or add up to two more children for £2.50.

It also includes a drink and a dessert for the kids.

Hungry Horse pubs locally are The Old Farmhouse in West Totton, The Vine Inn at Ower, The Fleming Arms in Swaythling, The Shamblehurst Barn at Hedge End, The New Clock Inn in Fair Oak and The Seagull at Fareham

Bill's

Kids eat free is back in time for summer at Bill's, which has a restaurant overlooking the old walls at Westquay.

Until September 1, up to two kids can eat free all day Monday to Friday if one adult orders any main dish.

Highlights on the children’s menu include buttermilk pancakes, mac and cheese and fish fingers and chips.

M&S Cafes

They're not just any cafes. M&S cafes in Southampton, Hedge End, Whiteley and Winchester are running a kids eat free offer on weekdays until September 1.

Young foodies can enjoy a £4 Kids Munch Menu on M&S every time you spend £5 or more in the cafe.

The Kids Munch Menu includes a main, like jacket potato with beans or cheesy tomato pasta, a snack, including carrot sticks or mini chocolate chip cookies, and a drink.

Bella Italia

If your kids love an Italian feast, this is the place for you. Book a table at Bella Italia, in Hanover Buildings, Southampton, and kids can get three courses and a drink for just £1 with every purchase of an adult meal.

From create your own pizza and pastas that are perfect for fussy eaters to classics like fish and chips, there's a good selection.

Among the dessert choices is create your own gelato

The offer runs 4pm to 6pm Monday to Thursday.

Premier Inn and adjoining pubs

This offer runs all year round, but it's a cracker, so it's worth a reminder.

Parents up at the crack of dawn might like to venture out for a bite to eat early on.

You don't have to be a guest at the various Premier Inns locally, or the Beefeater or other pubs adjoining them, to take advantage of this brilliant breakfast deal.

If you're feeling the need to fuel up for the day ahead, two kids, under the age of 16, eat free breakfast with any adult breakfast purchased for £9.99.

It's available from 6.30am until 10.30am midweek and 7am until 11am at the weekend.
