A DRIVER has been fined after they were clocked travelling at 58mph on the M27.
David Anscomb, 51, was caught by an automatic speed camera travelling at 58mph between junctions eight and seven for Hedge End.
The motorist was behind the wheel of a Peugeot travelling westbound at the time.
A variable speed limit of 50mph was in place on the smart motorway when he was flashed.

Anscomb, of Portchester Road, Fareham, admitted a single count of exceeding a variable speed limit at Southampton Magistrates' Court.
The offence was committed on October 16, 2022.
He was fined £200 and given three penalty points.
Anscomb must also pay court costs of £110 and a surcharge of £80 by September 28, 2023, at the latest.
