A FORMER Itchen Valley pub landlord has pleaded not guilty to 13 offences including nine counts of sexual assault.

Southampton-based Jason Colbourne will stand trial at Winchester Crown Court this summer after pleading not guilty to sexual assault, indecent exposure and like offences between April and October.

Eight victims and other witnesses have come forward.

Colbourne, 55, formerly of The Cricketers Inn, in Easton, has been charged with nine counts of sexual assault, two counts of indecent exposure with the intention to cause alarm or distress and two like offences.

Colbourne denied all 13 counts when at Winchester Crown Court.

Judge Adam Feest agreed with Chloe Jay, defending, and Barry McElduff, prosecuting, to allow three weeks for the trial in either July or August subject to the availability of witnesses.

Colbourne, of Wessex Lane, Swaythling, remains on conditional bail.
