The following cases were heard at Southampton Magistrates' Court:

JAMES STRUTHERS, 30, of Monsal Avenue, Ferndown. Found guilty of using handheld mobile phone driving while driving on M27 in Southampton on January 4 2023. Fined £220 with £300 costs and £88 victim services surcharge. Driving record endorsed with six penalty points.

DAVID CHANT, 34, of Suffolk Drive, Chandler's Ford. Pleaded guilty to failing to stop after accident at Chilworth Road, Southampton, on December 4 2022. Banned from driving for six months, fined £540 with £400 costs. Also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance. Driving record endorsed. No separate financial penalty.

BRIAN SINGH, 26, of Millbrook Road West, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to causing racially aggravated harassment, alarm, or distress at Southampton on April 9 2023. Community order, £85 costs.

NATALIE BOWYER, 48, of Neva Road, Southampton. Pleaded guilty to jointly, with another, stealing baby clothing worth £136 from Next store in Hedge End on January 21 2022. Also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance, driving while disqualified, and assault. Remanded on unconditional bail to appear at the same court on April 5 2024. 

MAHRUKH BASHIR, 44, of Elmwood Crescent, Brent. Pleaded guilty to failing to provide specimen of breath for analysis in Southampton on September 26 2023. Banned from driving for 24 months, community order, including requirement to complete 120 hours of unpaid work, £85 costs, £114 victim services surcharge.

DANIEL CLARK, 32, of Linden Road, Romsey. Pleaded guilty to failing to provide specimen of blood for analysis at Southampton General Hospital on October 4 2023. Community order, including requirement to complete 100 hours of unpaid work, £85 costs, £114 victim services surcharge. Also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance at Lords Hill Way on same date. Driving record endorsed. No separate financial penalty.

WAYNE BALDWIN, 51, of Chamberlayne Road, Eastleigh. Pleaded guilty to assault, two counts of using threatening behaviour, and assaulting an emergency services worker. Remanded on conditional bail until April 3 2024.
