A former car sales site in Fareham, with planning consent for eight detached houses, is to be auctioned with a guide price of £950,000-plus.
On more than half an acre, and occupied by a large four-bedroom house, the freehold plot at 245 Newgate Lane, Fareham, is among 147 lots across England listed in the March auction of Clive Emson Auctioneers.
Rob Marchant, the firm’s Hampshire auctioneer, said: “While the site undoubtedly offers scope and potential for continued use in its previous guise, there is scope and potential for full or partial site re-development.
“Two recent successful planning applications have established the principle of site re-development, in accordance with one of these schemes, or perhaps for a greater number of smaller residential units, subject to all necessary consents being obtainable.”

In addition to the former car sales site going under the hammer, a one-bedroom, end-terrace refurbished cottage, with a ‘deceptively large rear garden,’ in Gosport will also be available to purchase at auction.
Located at 202 Brockhurst Road, the property has a guide price between £120,000 and £130,000.
The auction will commence on Monday, March 18, where bidding will be allowed for 48 hours before the sale will close on Wednesday, March 20.
