A member of staff at a Southampton school has been suspended after being arrested by police.
It comes after a 38-year-old Southampton man was held on suspicion of engaging in sexual communication with a child.
The headteacher of Beechwood Junior School in Juniper Road, Bitterne, has written to parents following the news, saying the member of staff has been suspended.

Lucy Phillips said that the allegations do not relate to the school.
Ms Phillips said: "It is with regret that I am writing to you over the Easter holidays. However, I feel it is important to update you with recent events.
"As you may be aware, a member of Beechwood staff was arrested last week and is currently under police investigation.
"The member of staff is currently suspended from school and we are working with the police, local authority, and Hamwic Education Trust.
"While I am unable to give further details I can say that the allegations do not relate to Beechwood Junior School.
"I will be in touch with any further information when able to do so. However, please do contact me if you have any questions and I will endeavour to answer them."
Hampshire Police has confirmed its investigation is continuing and the arrested man has been released on conditional bail until July 4.
