A small salon located in Netley is headed for the English Hair & Beauty Awards finals.
Pure Holistic Beauty is nominated in two categories, Beauty Salon of the Year South and Local Salon of the Year South.
The accomplishment came from a whopping 60,000 votes from members of the public who cast votes on their favourite salons and stylists.
Jacqueline Kenny, owner of Pure Holistic Beauty, said: "Reaching the finals of the English Hair & Beauty Awards means everything to me.
"I love what I do and to be recognised for the effort all our team make is very special."
The salon does blemish removal, aesthetics, laser and skincare.
Of approximately 2,000 clients treated annually, 85 percent of the salon's customers are repeat clients, with a substantial portion of them being clients since Ms Kenny's debut in the beauty field 25 years ago.
She believes this is due to the quality of service her salon provides as well as her dedication to continuously train herself to ensure her knowledge and skills are up to date with the latest developments.
She added: "I was so determined to improve myself and my job prospects when I first set out.
"I also wanted to show my sons how education was the way to achieve your goals by studying for my NVQs over three years."
Ms Kenny initially began her journey as a mobile beauty therapist before transitioning into having her own salon.
She said: "I started out by renting space in the back room of a Barber shop for five years but I became so busy I was able to move to my current location in the lovely location of Netley Abbey.
"I’m so fortunate to have such a wonderful loyal clientele, without them my business wouldn’t be what it is today.
“I'm so proud of my team and all we have achieved to be finalists in such a prestigious award recognising our determination and passion for the treatments we provide to our clientele.”
The awards, initiated by Creative Oceanic 12 years ago, have broadened their scope beyond England to honour the best in beauty in Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland, Toronto and New York.
The ceremony will be held on April 21.
