Southampton travellers have been warned of disruption to train services this weekend.
Engineering works will mean that buses will replace trains between Southampton Central and Bournemouth.
The news is bad news for anyone planning to enjoy this weekend’s ‘mini-heatwave’ with a trip down to Bournemouth beach, as engineering works mean that on Saturday and Sunday no trains will run between Southampton and the popular beachside destination.
On Saturday, buses will replace trains between Southampton Central and Bournemouth; Southampton Airport Parkway and Bournemouth; and Brockenhurst and Lymington.
Additionally, services between London Waterloo and Weymouth will call additionally at either Shawford and Eastleigh or Swaythling and St Denys.
On Sunday, buses will replace trains between Eastleigh and Bournemouth; Southampton Central and Bournemouth; Eastleigh and Romsey; Eastleigh and New Milton; and Southampton Central and Fareham.
Trains between London Waterloo and Weymouth will start and terminate at Southampton Airport Parkway and may additionally call at Eastleigh.
