An aggressive man ‘exposed his genitals’ in a pub after an alleged assault, police have said.

Police officers were called to Gosport town centre on Thursday night after a man assaulted a pub worker.

It comes after he was asked to leave the premises.

It was reported the man then exposed himself to members of the public in the pub.

Following enquiries made by officers, a 31-year-old suspect was found and arrested on suspicion of indecent exposure and common assault.

But the man’s aggressive tirade continued as he assaulted a police officer who was admitted to hospital, police said.

The officer suffered suspected muscular damage to his arm but later returned to work.

The man remains in custody and the incident is under investigation.
